Catalyst is BrightMindz’s combined Maths, English and Science program for students in Grades 6–9. Delivered in one comprehensive weekly session, the program strengthens core concepts, develops problem-solving and communication skills, and helps students build the academic foundations they will continue to rely on throughout secondary school and into VCE pathways.

Catalyst brings three essential subjects together in one structured program. Students develop their understanding through clear concept teaching, guided practice and regular feedback, helping them address learning gaps early and become more confident as schoolwork becomes increasingly demanding.

Are Maths, English and Science taught in the same class?
Yes. Catalyst combines all three subjects into one comprehensive weekly session, allowing students to work consistently across each core learning area.
How long is each Catalyst class?
Each Catalyst session runs for approximately three hours.
How much does the Catalyst Program cost?
Catalyst is $90 per class. There is also an annual $80 Science resource fee for the Jacaranda Science series, which includes a physical book and online access.
What does the Maths component cover?
Maths includes learning across Number & Algebra, Geometry & Measurement, and Statistics & Probability, with an emphasis on understanding concepts and applying them to problem-solving.
What does the English component cover?
